What Participants Can Expect
A Transformational 4-Week Journey Through The Seasons of Healing™
You are carrying a loss that no one else seems to understand. There was no funeral. No sympathy cards. No one is bringing casseroles to your door. Instead, you heard things like "it is time to move on," or "be grateful for what you have", "at least you can try again," "you are still young."
But your grief is real. Your pain matters. And you are not broken.
You are experiencing invisible grief, losses that society does not acknowledge, losses that come with no permission to grieve, no community support, and no roadmap for healing.
BE SEEN is your sacred space to finally be witnessed.
BE SEEN is a transformational 4-week workshop that combines compassionate grief education with guided therapeutic painting. This is not a typical art class. This is where your invisible grief finally has permission to exist, to be expressed, and to be transformed.
Created specifically for women navigating losses that do not receive acknowledgment, divorce, empty nest, miscarriage, estrangement, lost dreams, identity shifts, chronic illness, ended friendships, career transitions, and more. BE SEEN provides what you have been missing: a safe container where your grief is honored as sacred.
30 Minutes: Grief Education with Diana Camba
Compassionate teaching on grief, healing, and The Seasons of Healing™ framework. You will gain language for what you are experiencing, permission to feel what you feel, and understanding that you are not crazy or broken.
2 Hours: Guided Therapeutic Painting with Christine Barone
Gentle, step-by-step art guidance that helps you express what words cannot capture. No artistic experience necessary. This is about process, not perfection. About expression, not expertise.
Connection & Community
Sacred space with other women who finally understand. You will be witnessed, validated, and held in your grief by a small, intimate group (limited to 10 participants).
Your Original Art
Each week, you create and take home original artwork that represents your grief journey. These pieces become tangible expressions of your healing process.
BE SEEN follows Diana's signature framework, The Seasons of Healing™, which recognizes that grief does not move in straight lines but cycles through natural seasons. Each week builds upon the last, creating a complete transformation journey.
Week 1 - WINTER: Name the Unseen (The Season of Honest Recognition)
The Grief Teaching:
Winter is the season of going inward, of quiet recognition, of acknowledging what society tells you does not matter. In this session, you will learn about your grief, what it is, why it is so painful, and why traditional grief support often fails people like you. You will gain permission to grieve losses that others dismiss and language to name what you are experiencing.
The Art Experience:
You will give visual form to grief that has lived in your body without words. Through color, texture, and shape, you will acknowledge the weight you have been carrying. This is not about creating something beautiful. This is about making the invisible visible.
What You Will Gain:
• Understanding, naming your grief and know that your grief is valid and real
• Permission to feel what you feel without shame
• Recognition that you are in a grief season, not "stuck" or "broken"
• A safe container to begin expressing what you have been holding alone
Week 2 - SPRING: Honor with Ritual (The Season of Sacred Ceremony)
The Grief Teaching:
Spring is the season of emergence, of planting seeds, of honoring what was lost through meaningful ritual. Traditional grief comes with funerals, memorials, and ceremonies. Invisible grief does not. In this session, you will learn why ritual matters for healing and how to create your own sacred practices that honor your unique loss.
The Art Experience:
You will create art that honors what you have lost and what mattered. This may be abstract or symbolic, gentle or raw. Christine will guide you in designing visual rituals that validate your experience and release the shame you may have been carrying.
What You Will Gain:
• Understanding of why ceremony and ritual facilitate healing
• Tools to create your own meaningful practices
• Release of shame through intentional acknowledgment
• Art that serves as your personal memorial or honoring
Week 3 - SUMMER: Reclaim Yourself (The Season of Authentic Renewal)
The Grief Teaching:
Summer is the season of clarity, warmth, and full expression. Loss changes us. We are not who we were before. In this session, you will explore questions of identity: Who am I now? What do I value? What brings me joy? You will learn how to allow joy and grief to coexist, how to rediscover your voice beneath the loss, and how to rewrite your story with self-compassion.
The Art Experience:
You will paint integration, not separation, not choosing between past and present, but weaving them together. You will explore how different colors, textures, and elements can coexist on the same canvas, just as your life is becoming. Not one thing or another, but all of it woven together.
What You Will Gain:
• Rediscovery of your authentic self beneath the grief
• Permission to experience joy without guilt
• Understanding that transformation includes, not erases, loss
• Visual representation of who you are becoming
Week 4 - AUTUMN: Live the Legacy (The Season of Purposeful Integration)
The Grief Teaching:
Autumn is the season of harvest, of gathering wisdom, of preparing to move forward with what you have learned. This is not about being "done" with grief. This is about choosing how you will carry it from this point forward. You will explore questions of legacy and meaning: What am I taking with me? How will this loss inform how I live? What matters now?
The Art Experience:
You will create art that represents moving forward while carrying what matters. You will paint new paths, continuing bonds, and the purposeful integration of your grief into your ongoing life. This final piece honors both where you have been and where you are going.
What You Will Gain:
• A framework for continuing to navigate grief as it cycles back
• Tools and practices to sustain your healing
• Clarity about what you are carrying forward
• Art that represents your complete journey through the seasons
Relationship Losses:
• Divorce or separation
• Ended friendships
• Estrangement from family members
• Loss of a romantic relationship
Life Transition Losses:
• Empty nest syndrome
• Retirement or career endings
• Job loss or forced career change
• Geographic moves away from community
Identity Losses:
• Loss of your pre-parent identity
• Loss of caregiver role when loved one passes or recovers
• Loss of professional identity
• Loss of who you thought you would become
Dream and Future Losses:
• Infertility
• Miscarriage or pregnancy loss
• Dreams that will not be realized
• Life plans that fell apart
Health and Ability Losses:
• Chronic illness diagnosis
• Loss of physical abilities
• Diagnosis that changes your future
• Changes in appearance due to illness or treatment
Other Invisible Losses:
• Pet loss (for those whose pets were family)
• Anniversary grief (years after a loss)
• Loss of safety or innocence
• Loss of faith or belief system
It is Specifically for Invisible Grief
Most grief support groups are for death. BE SEEN is designed for losses that do not come with funerals, sympathy cards, or social permission to grieve. You will not have to explain or justify your grief here.
It Combines Education and Expression
You get both the framework to understand what you are experiencing (Diana's grief teaching) and the outlet to express what words cannot capture (Christine's art guidance). Head and heart. Understanding and feeling.
It Follows a Proven Framework
The Seasons of Healing™ has guided hundreds of people through grief transformation. This is not random exploration. This is a structured journey with clear seasons, each building on the last.
It Creates Authentic Community
You are not alone in a large, impersonal group. BE SEEN is intentionally kept small (maximum 10 women) so that genuine connection, witnessing, and trust can develop. You will meet women who understand, who will not judge, and who are also navigating invisible losses.
You Take Home Tangible Evidence of Your Journey
Each week, you create art that you take home. These pieces become visual markers of your healing journey, tangible proof that you are moving, growing, and transforming.
Diana Camba - Loss and Grief Transformation Expert
Diana brings over 30 years of experience as a funeral director, where she walked alongside thousands of families through their darkest moments. This professional foundation, combined with her own early experiences of profound loss beginning at age 9, led her to specialize in what she calls "invisible grief," the devastating losses that society dismisses or fails to acknowledge.
Diana created The Seasons of Healing™ framework, a nature-based approach recognizing that healing does not happen in straight lines but in cyclical seasons. She brings both professional expertise and profound personal understanding to her work, creating sacred space where people can be witnessed in their grief without judgment or timelines.
Her approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that every loss deserves to be seen, and that when grief is finally witnessed, healing can begin.
Christine Barone - Painting Your Heart
Christine Barone is a certified Therapeutic Arts Facilitator and founder of Painting Your Heart Workshops. She has extensive experience working with diverse populations including veterans with PTSD, seniors facing loneliness and isolation, trauma survivors, cancer patients, adults with autism, and struggling teens.

Her approach is grounded in the belief that when people recognize themselves as creative beings, transformation happens. Christine's workshops provide accessible creative outlets for those who need to be heard, seen, and supported through difficult life passages.
